Prisms and Coatings

The optics use BAK4 prisms with FMC multi-layer coatings. The prisms handle the light path through the tube, and the coatings are applied to the lens surfaces.

Phone Adapter

The included adapter clip attaches a smartphone to the eyepiece so the phone camera lines up with the view. You can photograph or record what you are observing.

Variable Zoom

The zoom covers 10x to 30x. At lower settings you get a wider view for scanning. At higher settings, bracing your wrist and resting a knuckle on your cheekbone helps you hold it steady.

Body and Sealing

The chassis is magnesium alloy, and the internal sealing is nitrogen-purged. A textured rubber grip sits on the body. Wipe the exterior dry after wet weather.

Turn the eyepiece diopter ring until the view looks natural for your eye. Then use the focus wheel to fine-tune the image on your subject. The focus wheel has a damping mechanism.

Clamp the included universal adapter around the eyepiece and seat your phone so its camera lines up with the view. Check the alignment on your screen before you start recording.
