What is inside the CastRidge Pro

Stacked carbon drag

The drag uses stacked carbon washers with a maximum setting of 30kg. You set the pressure before you cast and adjust it on the water as the fish or the line size changes.

CNC-machined rock arm

The rock arm is machined by CNC from aluminum. It is the part that carries the load of the line and handle, and it connects the spool to the drive.

CastRidge Pro

Dual brake system

Magnetic and centrifugal brakes work together to control spool speed during the cast. You use the tension knob to match the setting to the lure weight you have tied on.

Aluminum body, rubber grip

The body is aluminum and the grip is rubber. The handle can be moved to the left or right side, so you can set up the reel for the hand you reel with.

Frequently Asked Questions

The CastRidge Pro has a maximum drag of 30kg, delivered by a stacked carbon drag. Set the pressure on the drag before you fish, and adjust it to suit your line.

The reel has 13 bearings. They sit in the drive and line path so the handle turns while you retrieve. Keep them clean by rinsing the reel after a day on the water.

The beveled wire cup guides braided line, monofilament and fluorocarbon. Check the markings on the spool for line capacity before you buy new line for a trip.

The handle is ambidextrous and needs no special tools. Unscrew it from one side and fit it on the other. Tighten it down fully before you cast.

The body is aluminum, with a CNC-machined aluminum rock arm. The grip is rubber. The drag is a stacked carbon design, which is housed inside the reel.

The dual brake system has magnetic and centrifugal parts. Use the tension knob to set it for the lure weight on your line, then make a short test cast and adjust.

Rinse it with fresh water after a saltwater outing and let it air dry. A light drop of reel oil on the line roller and bail spring is a common step before storage.

Line capacity is marked on the spool itself. Read it before you load line, and use the same line size listed there when you plan a trip.

The CastRidge Pro fishing reel ships as a single reel with a protective packaging box. No rod, line or other accessories are listed in the package contents, so those are purchased separately.

The CastRidge Pro fishing reel uses a dual braking system that combines magnetic and centrifugal control to manage spool speed during casts, with a tension knob that is set according to lure weight.

CastRidge Pro: A Fishing Reel with Aluminum Build and Carbon Drag

The CastRidge Pro is a fishing reel built around an aluminum frame and a CNC-machined rock arm. It suits anglers who fish freshwater lakes as well as saltwater, and the corrosion-resistant aluminum places it among saltwater fishing reels.

Inside, 13 ball bearings support the retrieve, and a stacked carbon drag system provides a maximum drag of 30kg. A dual braking system combining magnetic and centrifugal control manages spool speed during the cast, and a tension knob is set for lure weight.

  • Ambidextrous handle that moves to either side without tools
  • Rubber grip for wet or dry hands
  • Works with monofilament, fluorocarbon or braided line
  • Supplied with a packaging box

This fishing reel is aimed at bass and inshore setups, where a lightweight aluminum body and a rubber grip suit long days on the water.
