Padded straps

Compressible foam lines each strap and spreads the load across your shoulder. The chest and shoulder straps are adjustable, so you can set the fit once the pack is loaded.

Packs into itself

The foam straps compress flat and the pack stuffs into its own back-panel pocket. In that form it fits into a gap in your main pack for the hike to camp.

Each strap is lined with compressible foam. The foam is padding that spreads the load over your shoulder, and it flattens when you stuff the pack away. The chest strap is adjustable too.

Load the pack with what you plan to carry, then tighten or loosen the shoulder straps and clip the chest strap. Adjust a little at a time until the pack sits where you want it.

The side and chest pockets are sized for a water bottle, phone, map and snacks. Put the items you reach for most often there, and keep spare layers in the main compartment.
